What a wonderful product..Too Bad the company is defunct! This Canadian product started as a crowd fund me project in Kelowna BC. Though they had some success to begin with ( We bought one when they first came out) through mis-management and supplier issues the company folded several years after startup.
We bought one of these fire pits because we wanted an option to have a fire during fire bans and while on long road trips where carrying firewood is not really an option. As you can see Campfire in a Can is exactly that. Everything you need to hook up this baby and start a fire is included, and it all fits nicely into a canister type carrier. Out of the box it has fittings to hook up to a propane cylinder, but I modified the fittings so that it would fit into my propane connector on the RV. I also added 25′ of flexible gas hose so that I can move the campfire into our campsite while connected to the RV propane outlet.
This ingenious device worked as expected! offering hours of worry free campfires. Our only issue is that if not careful this campfire can empty your onboard propane tank, if connected, after only a few nights operation. So you need to be careful and control how much propane you use to keep the fire going. Lower fires are better on consumption.
Now unfortunately, you can no longer purchase these campfires new. You maybe able to find one on the used market. If you are looking new then there are options out there, The little Red Campfire is a similar product, but I have only seen them in the United States. Looking on Amazon, I found a comparable product in the Outland propane fire pit. I have placed a link at the end of this page and in the glampur gear guide. I highly recommend getting a propane fire pit to add to your glampware. The first fire ban you have to use this item, you will wonder why you did not buy one sooner.
