June Update 2021
Hi Everyone, June has been a busy month so far with work and studying, and prepping the RV for another trip. June has also been heartbreaking as we have made the decision to put our 17 1/2yr old Mini American Eskimo down due to his advanced age. Annie is having a hard time getting around and staying on his feet so it is with heavy hearts that we have booked that one last vet visit for him. We are heartbroken but we feel it is the right decision. A decision that is never easy to make. We will miss our little white shadow, our snowball, and our little man. Sigh…
Life must go on though so I have been keeping busy with studying and the RV pre-trip prep, and Lorraine has been on night shifts so it is work and sleep for her. We are both still excited to go on our next trip to Castle Falls. This seems like such a nice place to get away for a week and explore a new campground, area, and maybe a place to heal. Castle Falls is in the Pincher Creek Area of southern Alberta, closer to Beaver Mines actually, so it will take us several hours of travel time to get there from Calgary.
This month I continued on with my Fridge upgrades and installed an Exhaust vent fan to help cool down the coils of the fridge. It was not all that hard of a mod, other than fishing down the wires through the vent to the electrical connections at the bottom. The Fan I installed has an auto sensor so it will spin up or spin down the fans depending on the temperature in the exhaust vent. It’s a cool mod and works well. Now the fridge is cooling near 0c even on a hot day. That is a huge performance increase using the interior and, now exterior fans that I have installed. The fridge used to cool at around 5c to 10c Now it’s a steady 0c. Nice!...
Well I am going to keep this short, as I am still feeling pretty blue over Annie and not feeling very creative right now.
Till the next update
Happy Trails
The Glampurs
Here are some pic’s of the fan mod I did – Cheers!

Here I have mounted the Fans onto the splash board in the upper vent

Here I have fished the wires down the vent to the bottom of the fridge. Now all that has to happen is to connect the 12v wires.

Here I have identified the 12v feed to the fridge. I now connect the two 12v wires from the fan to the fridge feed, and voila the fans come to life.
