The largest campground in the National Park system, Whistlers in Jasper, is finally getting a facelift.  Built in the 1960’s  with 781 campsites camping at this campground has become  quite dated over the years. Camping back then was very different from the RV infused glamping that has taken Canada by storm as well as the rest of North America. Upgrading Whistlers to better accommodate the RV lifestyle of camping will only benefit not only RVers but the local area’s economy as well.

Parks Canada hopes to have the campground open again come the season of 2020. That will make for a hasty schedule to reconstruct the campground and replace aging infrastructure and add updated campsites.
