According to Parks Canada Marijuana consumption will be allowed in your designated campsite. It won’t be allowed in public areas and venues, but to be able to consume in your campsite is a big step for Parks Canada. Apparently in some provinces you will be able to consume on open trails and in the back country, (Like anyone would know back there?!?), but still to have permission is a big step in normalizing the drug. To treat this as alcohol has been treated is allowing Canadians to be grown-up’s about this and not let fear mongering rule the day. Let’s be honest as glampur’s we all expect that the site we choose in a campground becomes our rented property for as long as we pay the fee. We also expect that as long as we don’t damage the site were free to do as we please. I think that most Canadians are mature enough to respect others and not infringe on their rights to enjoy there campsite, while still being able to enjoy your campsite.
I guess time will tell in our great experiment.
